A contemporary folk band, Father Ron and Friends has produced three albums, the latest for Louisiana Red Hot Records. In addition, the band plays original tunes as well as traditional songs from the 19th and 20th centuries. They are a delightful live band with stories, funny songs and lots of joy. Ron Clingenpeel is an accomplished singer/songwriter and has won multiple awards from the Global Music Awards. Band members Robert Eustis and Max Valentino also compose. Barbara Simth-Davis, trained in classical opera, is a voice and talent teacher in New Orleans. Rounding out the band is David Schwartz, an accomplished keyboard, harmonica and vocal artist. Together they produce a great show of new and familiar music. The Great American Folksong Singalong is a special program featuring traditional songs and stories from the history of America. Forever the Seasons is the newest album and contains songs of love lost, contemporary issues, Louisiana history and lore. It is available for digital download on Spotify, Amazon Music, and other streaming services. CDs upon request.
