Kerm Towler Flutist from Washington, DC

Solo and ensemble flutist (including alto and bass flutes). I perform a variety of music from baroque to the present with other instrumentalists as well as singers. I have performed in concert, recital and in services at venues in the Greater Washington area including: Foundry United Methodist Church, Metropolitan Memorial United Methodist Church, Shiloh Baptist Church, Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church, The United Church, All Souls Episcopal Church-Sharon Chapel, CommUnity on the Hill, the Alexandria Lyceum, Clarendon Ballroom, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Sidney Harmon Hall as well as for the Guy Concert Series. As a collaborative chamber musician I have performed with a wide range of keyboardists, woodwind players and singers such as tenor Jackson Caesar and organists Evelyn Simpson-Currenton and Eileen Guenther (to name a few),and currently, in a trio with violist Kristen Gomez and cellist Stephanie Hersch. I also recorded a commissioned set of arrangements of Stephen Foster songs for the Foundry Players' Ruby Griffith Award-winning production of "Our Town" and performed incidental music for for the Foundry Players' later production "The Crucible", both of which were praised by the competition judges.
