Flamencolía Dance Company is an award-winning collective of Spain-trained professional flamenco artists led by dancer Lia Grainger. Expect elegant, passionate and inspiring flamenco dance performances by one to four dancers in spectacular costumes and using traditional Spanish flamenco props like abanico (fan), mantón (silk shawl), and castanets. Flamencolía Dance Company can present a variety of arrangements, from a single dancer performing choreographies to pre-recorded flamenco guitar and singing, to the full company with 4 dancers, singer, guitarist and percussion. All of Flamencolía Dance Company's members have lived and trained in Andalucia, the region of Southern Spain where the flamenco art form was born.
