Enchanting with bellydance, fabulous fire arts, LEDs, swirling swords, fans, sensuous silk veils, Isis wings, and more, Lorenda excites any audience! Her fun shows are amazing and family-friendly. Her repertoire mixes the styles of Egyptian raqs sharqi, modern American cabaret, and tribal fusion. Hailing from the southern New Jersey Shore, she's been mesmerizing audiences since 2009 as a solo artist, with internationally acclaimed Soraya's Mid-East Dance and Music Productions, the Burning Hearts Fire and Light Theater, the Daughters of Terpsichore troupe, and more. She has performed at events ranging from the traditional to the offbeat -- from the beaches and casinos of Atlantic City to the desert sands of Burning Man, from upscale Persian weddings and exotic Arabian nights, to avant-garde art galleries and fairy fests, to the glittering lights of Las Vegas. Lorenda displays deft fire-eating skills, wears elaborate fire headdresses, balances fire swords and a candle tray on her head, makes fire bubbles, and dances with palm torches, fire fingers, fire fans, a fire belt, shamadan, lycopodium wands, fire fairy wings, colored flames, and more! She also adds a touch of fire stage magic tricks. She carries fire performer's liability insurance, follows fire safety protocol conforming to the National Fire Protection Association, is certified in fire safety by the Flow Arts Institute, and is well-versed in dealing with fire departments and applying for flame effects permits. Lorenda also sparks audience interaction and gets people to dance! She is a bellydance instructor who provides solo and group workshops, and lessons at special events. She can also teach fire arts.
