I have been playing the guitar for over 30 years now, performing as a semi-professional gigging musician since 2010. Some of my background and experience as a guitarist: i have played for guitar competitions in Finger-style and open guitar/acoustic guitar, Performed in competition 2010 and 2011 on the Merle Travis Stage of the Merle Travis Music Center. 2019 Gahanna Blues&Jazz Fest Performed for City of Westerville Performed for City of Gahanna Twice performed for private faculty OSU and students. Numerous gigs for weddings, parties, ceremonies, fund raisers and corporate events. Previously and still a member of: The Cincinnati Guitar Society, Ohio fingerstyle guitar club, the Kentucky fingerstyle-thumbpicking guitar club Further training/study: Over the years i have been invited and attended various guitar clinics some private such as Gary Hoey, and George Lynch(Dokken) and classical instructors such Classical/Chet Atkins instructors John McClellan and Robert Anderson, Buster b Jones, Doyle Dykes, and son of Merle Travis-Thom Bresh, as well as members of The Kentucky Thumbpickers Club-of whom i have learned much from all of these people from their clinics and sessions. In 2018 i also enrolled in study with a top Flamenco instructor in Spain, for further study on timing and classic Flamenco rhythm the correct way.
