Coach Jones became one of only two coaches to be named Blitz 16 Metro Coach of the Year twice. He is the only coach to win this prestigious award at two different schools. Coach Jones was also selected as the Clarion Ledger Metro Coach of the Year and the Sports Zone WJTV Coach of the Year in 2013. Over fifty of Jones’ players have gone on to play college football on every level. He also has many former student-athletes that work and live across the city, state and nation.
