Founded by Jeff Donovan in 1997, what started as a solely owned and operated part-time business has now turned into “DJ on Demand,” a fully functioning and full-time business. From the time I started this company it was started it has been anchored in providing outstanding personal service and being a good source of information for all customers, colleagues and aspiring DJ's. From the time I was in high school I had a deep desire to DJ. After years of toiling in unfulfilling jobs I started doing some DJ work on the side. After working in a few situations he realized that with his talent, skills and passion that he should be running his own company and so it was the birth of DJ on Demand. Of all the jobs I've worked this is the only one that has stuck with me. Is it the music? Yes, but not really. I think of all the experiences I've had over the years. The 60-year-old that gave me the bedroom eyes and the pelvic thrust, the urn with the dead brother's ashes to the events that rocked. Seriously coming out of some of these events I felt like a rock star….had the crowd jump all night and other where you could feel the love so much that it made me a little misty eyed. The most important aspect/feature of my business is the what ever it takes attitude. I know we all heard that but ….at some of these events it's a train wreck waiting to happen. Sometimes I've slapped on a cd, bussed tables, bartended, pour champagne, greet people, hung up coats, shoveled snow and mopped up the dance floor. The success of the event is the most important thing. I am primarily a wedding Dj so these are once (Maybe twice or three ) in a lifetime experiences. There is no waiting until tomorrow not having everything they ask for. A proud father of two Jeff has held his claim as Denver Native calling it his home for over 50 years. Jeff continues to raise the bar of expectations for DJ's by using his background in sales and customer service to provide a uniquely personal and streamlined experience for his clients.
