DJ Madi(mah-dee)Johnson is in love with music.He has worked with some of the top DJ's,promoters and celebrities in MN.House parties,nightclubs(MYTH,Gabbies,Tabu,Tonix,Escape,Cream,Karma,Crystal),comedy clubs,festivals and weddings. 30 plus years of experience keeps Madi on his toes. He stays relevant by keeping up with todays music and technology. But yet he never strays from his old school roots. To be a well rounded DJ it takes balance. He has proven to be one of the best and elite DJ in his town.His vast knowledge of music keeps him on the cutting edge,his desire to learn and study music history has put him in a world of his own.His vinyl collection is over 20,000 deep.He has read over 200 music biographies ,not to mention music industry books on production. He realizes that learning about different artist, genre's and music history makes him a better DJ. Madi's first time in a nightclub(People's Choice) came only when he was five years old.He heard the DJ cutting "Billie Jean" and he was hooked.Since that day he studied and looked up to MN top DJ's(ray seville,alan freed,megan megamix,ken the wizard stone,chilly charles,john suttels,trava tron,freddy fresh,bro jules & mike mack)He feels every time he touches the tables in some form he has to represent his teachers and thanks them by giving the people the best set he can give. DJ Madi believes in playing to the crowd. But needs freedom in order to create a party atmosphere. Freedom gives him the ability to feel loose and be creative when on the turntables. As you can see and hear Madi has played for all types of crowds. His events includes Bars, Clubs, Birthday Parties ranging from 16-80,Corporate Events, Retail Stores, Weddings, Fitness Classes, Sporting Events and High School and College Graduation Open Houses.
