Reading an audience can be just as important as reading music. In a band setting, knowing what to play, when to play it, and how loud the volume level should be set at, can all be useful tools for capturing an audience's attention. Over Easy was founded by bass player and singer Steve Cinque, who's from Stratford, Ct (originally NYC). Steve's powerful vocals and on point bass lines drive songs like Bruce Springsteens Dancing In The Dark and Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit. Dialing it back a couple of notches, songs like Firefall's Just Remember I Love You and Christopher Cross' Sailing round out Steve's substantial vocal range. Mark Holleran is the keyboardist and guitarist and shares the vocal duties with Steve. Mark's performances of Michael Murphy's Wildfire and Phillip Phillips' Home are flawless and songs like Darius Rucker's Wagon Wheel and The Grateful Dead's Truckin' are crowd favorites. The band's performance of Billy Joel's Piano Man (Mark on piano and Steve on harmonica) is an absolute show stopper. Together, Mark and Steve provide all the patter between songs and involve their audiences in trivia, music history and personal anecdotes. Drummer Jim Zembruski, from Middlebury, joined and actually recommended Mark, who was an old friend from high school. Jim's rock solid drumming keeps everything flowing. His drumming style readily adapts from rock to blues to country and standards. He is also our music library, often feeding us names and facts during our shows. OVER EASY carries a repertoire of over 350 songs ranging from a Sinatra medley to hits by Michael Buble and Ed Sheeran. A full arsenal of '50's, '60's, '70's and beyond classic rock favorites keep the group well rounded and able to successfully play to multi-generational audiences. Artists like Elvis, Beatles, Herman's Hermits, Monkees, Simon & Garfunkel, Bill Withers, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Stephen Bishop, Bruce Springsteen, Moody Blues, and Linda Ronstadt are covered. Some modern country is also added (Brooks & Dunn, Restless Road, Billy Ray Cyrus) just to round things out. We have a 5 star (highest) rating with The Bash.
