Midnight Blue Cover Band from Sacramento, CA

Midnight Blue Band is based in Marysville, Ca. The band members come from a variety of musical back-grounds and have come together to provide you with a variety of music genres including, country, rock, blues and oldies. Midnight Blue Band is available for small or large venues, private parties or corporate events. Danny Rupley – Lead Guitar and Vocals Danny is a fantastic lead guitarist and vocalist. He has worked all over Northern California with many different musicians. He was the lead guitarist for Joanie Lee and Branding Iron as well as the Chris Gardner Band to name just a few. He has collaborated on many projects and is widely recognized as one of the premier guitarists in the area. He is a proud father and husband. Midnight Blue was very lucky to be able to bring him in on this project. Ken Uyemoto – Bass and Vocals Ken was born in Yuba City, let's just say sometime in the 1950's. His family was in the farming business. He started playing guitar when he was about 13 years old. Every kid on the block wanted to be a guitarist so he took to playing bass a few years later and has loved it ever since. His early influences included but were not limited to: The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Tower of Power, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Blood, Sweat & Tears. He describes his style of playing as funky-rock. He has played in a number of rock/blues and classic rock bands in Yuba City as well as a few jazz and blues groups in Davis, CA. Too many names of groups to list here. He is happily married for over 30 years (to his high school sweetheart). They have two wonderful children (boy and girl) who live close by and still see them on a regular basis. He is happy to be working on this new project and hope you enjoy what we bring to the stage. Bert Pilk – Drums and Vocals Bert is a proud husband and father who wouldn't change for anything. He has been playing drums/percussion since the late 80's. He has played all over the western states. Some of his experience includes performing with a number of Christian bands. The song "Awakening", which is played at colleges throughout the country is one of his works. He began his percussion career with the Drum and Bugle Corps of Santa Clara. He has been the drummer for several bands in Sacramento since relocating here. His influences include the drummers of such bands as "Tower of Power", "Chicago", "Rush", and the "Funk Brothers". Once you hear him play, you will know why these drummers are important to him! Patti Lohden – Vocals and Percussion Patti is a vocalist who prides herself on getting the harmonies just right. "Harmony is just as important as the lead, because it fills out the sound and makes that lead part even better." She has been singing since she can remember and had her first major audience at the age of 5 playing Gretel in the Sound of Music in Dallas in front of 5000 people. Her mother is her greatest influence and attributes all of her talent to her. Patti has sung all types of music, from opera to country, but prefers country, blues and rock n roll the most. Since moving to Sacramento in 2000, she has performed with many local bands as a backup vocalist and now moves into the limelight as a lead singer. This move is at the encouragement of many musician friends and non musician friends who have always been very supportive. Her first passion has always been music.
