In the Flesh?: Canada's Premier Pink Floyd Tribute Cover Band from Pouch Cove, NL

“In the Flesh?” (ITF) is a tribute to progressive rock pioneers, Pink Floyd. In early 2007 brothers Shannon and Justin Pittman decided to pursue their long-held ambition of forming a tribute to the legendary Floyd. The brothers would split guitar and vocal duties, but needed bass guitar, drums, and keyboards to truly recreate the Floyd sound. Bruce Quinton (bass guitar) and Andrew Vardy (drums) had worked with Shannon on a previous project and were more than happy to sign on. ITF then recruited Sharon Clarke, a keyboard player and vocalist well known in the St. John's music scene. The band's first public performance as ITF? was headlining local radio station OZ-FM's 30th anniversary celebration. ITF? then hit the stage at Junctions night club in St. John's in October of 2007. This show is marked in the eyes of many of the bandmates as the inauguration of “In The Flesh?” as they intended - with Ms. Clarke joining only a few weeks prior - in full lighting, with fantastic sound, and an amazing audience! It was finally coming together as the bandmates intended. ITF? was also proud to support the cause of Engineers Without Borders in February, 2008 when they were requested to be a guest act to help end poverty. With several appearances at select venues in Newfoundland, ITF?'s stage shows have become strikingly orchestrated and their performances building in intensity and inventiveness. They have taken on the task of the recreation of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon at the Rockhouse on George Street in St. John's which was captivatingly entertaining - with the band coming back for a 40 minute encore, after having already performed several of Floyd's hits and the Dark Side album in its entirety! In 2010 they boldly sought to recreate THE WALL at Holy Heart Auditorium in St. John's - with a partnering theatre company to help put together the stage drama of the story - the show was nothing short of spectacular. Always creative, professional, and eager to entertain audiences, we can be sure that ITF?'s next foray on stage will be one not to be missed. Where will they appear next? Only they know for sure.
