Drawing inspiration from the timeless tunes of James Taylor, Stevie Wonder & Carole King to the modern day soul pop of Adele, Amy Winehouse & John Legend, Carly & the King choose their repertoire based on themes of honesty, ambition and tenacity. The range in styles of Carly & the King streches from musical numbers to Disney tunes, from 90s hits to Jazz Standards, Motown to Folk, Soul to Rock 'n Roll. After meeting in a songwriting class at Berklee College of Music in late 2013, Carly & Sebastian embarked on a two-year adventure around the world - performing on the Celebrity Cruise Lines through Northern Europe, The British Isles and the Caribbean. Now anchor is set in Los Angeles and the duo has grown into a full band. Carly & the King have since been playing throughout Southern California at: weddings, corporate functions & private parties, as well as at renowned establishments such as House of Blues (Anaheim), Hotel Cafe (Hollywood), and various resorts including the Montage, St. Regis, & Ritz Carlton.  Carly's soaring vocals with Sebastian's silky guitar playing and harmonies culminate in old souls singing new folk. Available as an intimate, duo (2 vocals, acoustic & electric guitar, loop pedal), trio (+cajon) full band (+bass, keys and drum set).
