Bakersfield TX was formed in 2021 by talented lead guitar player, singer and songwriter, Jerry Renshaw. We’re a classic country and western band playing Bakersfield, CA and Texas style country music with a distinctly uptempo style that caters appropriately to various types of crowds; our style varies as needed to accommodate the crowd. Our band members are professional musicians: Jerry Renshaw–lead vocals and guitar, Karrie Sheehan–drums, Kyle Kline–bass and Mike Trimble–guitar and vocals. We also have an extensive list of professional local subs. We play familiar classic country music but sometimes B side tunes. Jazzy danceable shuffles, twangy honky tonks, rockin’ boogies, a few belly rubbers with a handful of originals sprinkled in.
