Liz Casselman Corporate Speaker from Detroit, MI

Liz is a Michigan native and a real estate professional. As a licensed Michigan attorney, she is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Real Property Law Section. She serves as the Chair of the Title Agent and Associate Member Committee, Chair of the Education Committee for the Michigan Land Title Association and is active with the American Land Title Association and CREW Detroit. She is also a licensed title producer agent in Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio. She has been a board member of several organizations, including non-profits, educational institutions, and banks. Liz is the owner and Chief Operating Officer of Birmingham Title Agency and American Title Agency of Lenawee. In addition to her work as a title agent, Liz is a partner at her family’s real estate law firm, Halabu P.C. She also founded Birmingham Exchange Company, a qualified intermediary facilitating 1031 exchanges all over the country, and she is the Vice President of Gandol Inc., a construction and commercial door company. As of September 2023, Liz is a published author, and her first book is called “Not Just a Title: A Journey of Growth in the Title Industry.” She shares her experiences managing a variety of teams across her companies, specializing in transitioning the acquired companies to a higher standard of service and production. She also talks about her struggles to adapt her leadership style as she grows in her industry. Liz earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Oakland University in 2012, her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in 2015, and her Executive Master of Business Administration from Oakland University in 2020. Her passion is in sharing stories and experiences. Her career has been shaped by professionals willing to share what they have learned throughout their journeys, and she has made it her goal to follow their example by practicing transparent and empathetic communication.
