Andrea Shaut, winner of the 2014 and 2015 Wedding Wire Couple's Choice Award, is a pianist that has been performing at weddings and private events for nearly 20 years. In addition to being a solo pianist, Andrea has a network of professional singers and instrumentalists that she also performs with, allowing you to create the perfect instrumentation for your ceremony or cocktail hour. REPERTOIRE Andrea's mix of music includes well-known classical selections, as well as pop and jazz music that provides the perfect classy touch to any affair. She has performed everything from Pachebel's "Canon in D" to Guns 'n Roses' "Sweet Child of Mine" for wedding ceremonies and works closely with couples to figure out the right mix of music to make their event perfect. WEDDING CEREMONIES Typically for a wedding ceremony, Andrea will begin performing prelude music about 20 minutes before the ceremony - as guests are being seated. She will learn new songs of your choosing for the wedding party processional, bridal processional, wedding recessional, and can also include a musical interlude in the middle of your ceremony if desired - to accompany a candle lighting or rose ceremony, if those are a part of your ceremony. EQUIPMENT Andrea brings her own keyboard and speaker to her performances. Andrea is also able to provide a wireless microphone for your wedding ceremony officiant, or for any speeches that will be taking place during your event. BACKGROUND In addition to having performed at hundreds of wedding ceremonies as a pianist, Andrea also performs with The Kazz Music Orchestra, one of the region's top wedding dance bands. Additionally, Andrea is the pianist for the world famous West Point Military Academy Glee Club, which has led her to performances throughout the country at prestigious events including performing alongside country superstar Trace Adkins at the legendary Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and country star Blake Shelton at a Pepsi-sponsored Super Bowl party in NYC's Bryant Park. She has also performed with R&B legends Nona Hendryx (of R&B Supergroup Labelle that recorded "Lady Marmalade") and Valerie Simpson (part of songwriting duo Ashford and Simpson that wrote hits including "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing" and dozens of others)!
