Matthew Lee - Violinist Violinist from Pflugerville, TX

Matthew Lee is a classical violinist and pedagogue who performs throughout the Austin - Round Rock areas. He plays frequently with the Austin Symphony and Austin Opera Orchestras, and has appeared with other ensembles such as the San Antonio Philharmonic and Central Texas Philharmonic. He has won numerous awards in solo competitions, including top prizes in the Texas Music Festival Concerto Competition, the Brevard Music Center Concerto Competition, and the University of Wisconsin–Madison Concerto Competition, and he has performed in masterclasses for world renowned artists such as Augustin Hadelich, Laurie Smukler, Frank Almond, Tasmin Little, Sibbi Bernhardsson, and more. Matthew went to the University of Wisconsin–Madison where he obtained his bachelor's degree, studying on a full tuition music scholarship. He then obtained his Master’s degree and Artist Diploma certificate at the University of Texas–Austin, where he studied with Sandy Yamamoto, former violinist of the Miró Quartet.
