Gibson Dorcé, Bass-Baritone Classical Singer from Miami, FL

A resident of Miami and a scholarship recipient of the Hess Conservatory and Palm Beach Opera Workshop. He has performed with The Lyric Opera of Miami, Coral Gables Symphony & Opera, Circulo Lirico de Miami, Key West Pops, and Opera and Serenade Productions. His roles include Mephistophêles from Gounod Faust; The Four Villains in Offenbach Les Contes d'Hoffmann; Escamillo from Bizet Carmen, Raimondo from Donizetti Lucia de Lammermoor. He debuted as Balthazar from Menotti Amahl and the Night Visitors with Orchestra Miami in 2013(In English and Spanish). He performed Sparafucile with Miami Lyric Opera in 2007 from Verdi Rigoletto as well as Dr. Grenvil from Verdi La Traviata in 2010. In May of 2014, he will perform the role of Silvano from Verdi UnBallo in Maschera. In 1999, Conductor Anton Guardagno picked Mr. Dorcé to participate in the prestigious Opera Workshop of Palm Beach Opera. While there, he covered, Ramphis in Verdi Aida, and Monterone in Verdi Rigoletto. In 2000-2001 season, he was given the honor to perform his main stage solo debut in the Barber of Seville as Fiorello along side the incomparable, Rockwell Blake in Palm Beach Opera. In December, 2005, under the baton of Key West Pops Orchestra's conductor Vincent Zito, Gibson Dorcé made his Key West debut in George Gershwin Blue Monday as Mike. In 2009, Mr. Dorcé sung Monterone in his Opera Naples debut. He is currently active as a soloist at the New Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
