John was awesome and flexible timing wise the day of the gig as we ran into traffic issues coming to the surprise party. He played an awesome set, learned a new song, and gave us a vinyl record of his latest album. Highly recommend.

Although we had just a small gathering at my mother’s home outside on the deck, The John Byrne band made the event feel very special. The sound quality was excellent, and the talent was, of course, first rate. They were very accommodating and easy to work with- I was able to select many songs out of a list of 70 or so that was provided ahead of time. The John Byrne band also offered to play any special requests in advance, and during the actual set. If you enjoy traditional Irish music with an authentic sound that can transport you across time and location, then this is the band for you!

I hired John Byrne to play solo at my mom’s surprise party, and he was fantastic to work with from start to finish! John played just the right songs and made the event especially memorable. He is incredibly talented and his performance was definitely the cherry on top of the whole party. 10/10 - highly recommend!

I hired this band for my husband’s 40th birthday party with approximately 60 guests. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed them. Today my neighbor came over and asked what the name of their band is. They sat outside and listened to them all night. The entire band was wonderful and would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Again John, Maura and Andy were excellent. Their music and stories were a great part of the warmth and fellowship of "The Last Hurray" at our PA cabin. John was very accommodating with our playlist selections, and added a song /sing-along ("Your Taxi is Waiting" Finbar Furey) for our last party at the cabin. Highly recommend John and company for any occasion. We will certainly look for John and the band when they come to the Cape. 'Out there on the road we'll meet again.' Thanks John, Maura and Andy.

The John Bryne Band was the perfect fit for our St Patrick's Party! Our venue was outside and although it was chilly the band played for 3 hours, all the Irish hits. John and his band put on an excellent performance. John was very accommodating with special requests, and with covering two non-Irish tunes we requested for special recognition of our Father, and young guests. He told the story behind many songs, including his own "The Immigrant and The Orphan" that was particularly touching considering our grandparents are immigrants, and our Mom was orphaned at a very young age. His renditions of the many songs and ballads we requested, and his own tunes, are very authentic. If you are seeking a singer/song writer who puts his all into his performance, John and his band would be a very good choice.

John and Maura played the night after my wedding in an hired house. It was absolutely incredible - the selection of songs was perfect for the crowd (traditional Irish), they got the vibe straight away and for me it was a memorable night. They invited people to sing and dance (regardless of standard!) which was brilliant. John is not just a talented performer but a quality songwriter and I have since travelled to see him perform in Philadelphia and have his albums on repeat in the car. I cannot recommend John enough whether full blown band or a couple for an intimate occasion.

I absolutely recommend The John Byrne Band without reservation. Hiring the band was one of the best decisions we made. They were so professional and friendly leading up to the event. John worked with us to make sure the songs we liked were played and even learned a specific song that had special meaning when I walked down the aisle. When the venue made changes at the last minute John handled it quickly, without fuss (while he was in Ireland, no less!), which was SUCH a relief. The music totally made the ceremony and cocktail hour. All our guests commented on how fantastic they were. I want to have another event just to hire them again!

The John Bryne band performed for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary at a restaurant. The Band exceeded our expectations. They sounded fantastic! The restaurant manager loved them and took pictures and video of the band to post on face book. The restaurant patrons kept coming in to our private room to hear the band. I was asked over and over by my guests where I found the band. The band could have not been more accomendating and friendly.

I am in the music business, and I can tell you that John Byrne and his band were superlative. Outstanding band. Outstanding attitude. Pure heart all the way. We would recommend them to anyone looking for authentic Irish music played with a sincerity that comes from honest musicianship and attention to craft. I have had more people tell me that our wedding was great and each person specifically mentioned how the band pushed the vibe to another level.
