John Doherty is the recipient of an award as Best Corporate Caricaturist in the Boston area, and another from the International Society of Caricature Artists (formerly The National Caricaturist's Network) for speed. He has been invited to draw at the prestigious Salon of Cartoonists at St. Juste le Martel, France. John has drawn everyone from TV, Movie & Rock Stars to US senators and presidential candidates. A professional caricaturist since college graduation, John spent several years as the house caricaturist at the Bull & Finch ("Cheers") Pub in Boston. John is known as one of the most talented and fastest artists working in the New England area, generally he can draw between 20 and 25 people per hour in a black brush line "head shot" style. In color, with full hobby or sport depicted, the drawing output is usually 9-10 per hour. For an additional fee, we can entertain a room full of people and draw your guests on an iPad. As the drawing develops, the other guests can view the work in progress on a flat screen TV. This has been particularly popular with our corporate clients at shows, conventions and expositions to draw traffic to the booth. John recently drew in this style at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia.
