Allen was great! Everyone loved getting to take home the silly drawings of themselves! We only wish that we could have had him stay longer so that everyone could have a chance to get a drawing. These are such great keepsakes!

Working with Allen was a joy from start to finish. He arrived as scheduled and ready to rock, and was a bright light though our whole event. He was super pleasant, and we loved every one of his caricatures. Highly recommended!

Allen's drawings are what I think of when I think of caricature art. His style is to draw the faces a little more elongated than the actual "model" which makes them fun. If you want a true to real life portrait he's not your guy but if you want something you can look at and not take yourself so seriously his stuff is fantastic. He was a blast to work with and good at communication. He came in character and we got several comments about how friendly and engaging he is. All he needed to get going was a table and 3 chairs. We will definitely be having him back again.

Allen was a dream to work with! He was extremely accommodating for our very large project. We needed 36 portraits done for all the staff members at our school. We also wanted there to be a vintage circus theme.
He was very flexible and fun to work with. The art was amazing! Our community of parents, teachers, students, etc. were all so impressed. I had many people ask for his contact information. Our teachers were overjoyed with their gifted portraits. I couldn't believe the likeness! So impressive!
I'm already racking my brain for ways to work with Allen again....Birthday parties, family portraits, etc!

Allen Schmertzler was the perfect addition to our Corporate, 2017 Holiday Party. He provided excellent customer service to our employees and guests by making wonderful small talk and providing excellent caricature drawings. He was the main topic of discussion as people watched his drawings come to life during the event. My only complaint is that I did not book him longer! I recommend Allen Schmertzler to anyone planning an event who is looking for a professional, friendly, punctual, reliable and over all amazing artist. Our caricature drawings will be the main topic of discussion when concerning our 2017 Holiday Party for years to come. Thank you Allen Schmertzler!!!

Allen was just wonderful! He is professional and punctual. He had great communication before and during the event. He emailed me to confirm he would be there and what time he would be there. He worked for 3 straight hours with a smile and lots of good conversation. He worked well with all the personality types we have in our community and overall we are very happy with our choice. Thanks Allen, you were a true professional and we will keep you in mind for future events and recommendations to others.

Thanks again Ashley. You are a great host, so very accommodating and generous, and you arranged the sitters perfectly, eliminating hard feelings for those left out. The folks who sat to be drawn were kind and appreciative. I hope you book me in the future so I can work my way through the entire clientele. This was my favorite gig this year!
