THE GUMBO BAND: A BRASS BAND FOR THE AGES THE OLDEST WEST COAST / AUTHENTIC NEW ORLEANS / MARDI GRAS / MARCHING BAND IN THE USA Before the nineteenth century many American Funerals included Brass bands. Available for: Festivals – Funerals – Home Goings - Parades - Mardi Gras Parties – Concerts – Dances – Weddings - Birthday Parties & Anniversaries – Divorces - You name it and we'll be there. Our repertoire includes Swing, Zydeco, Blues, Cajun, Gospel, Dixie Land and some R&B with a New Orleans second line with a twist at the behest of our clients. Henry Clements Gumbo Band is the West Coast's premiere authentic New Orleans Marching & Stage Band. The oldest (50 years) Internationally renowned Mardi Gras and Funeral Band. Some featured songs include: When the Saints Go Marching In, Precious Lord, Amazing Grace, A Closer Walk with Thee, Swing Low Sweet Chariot, What a Friend We Have in Jesus, Ava Maria, Down By the Riverside, Fly Away, His Eye is on the Sparrow, Wonderful World, How Great Thou Are and much more. The new Gumbo Band leader, Paul Tillman Smith is a internationally respected drummer and songwriter. You can view his history on Google.

I never saw so many beautiful people together in my life and everyone was so friendly to boot. We weren't there to make money on the street but people were throwing us money anyway. All the tips went to the extra tuba player there in training. He was delighted and surprised.lolReview by Sharon S.
