LIFTOFF BRASS BAND is revitalizing the New Orleans "brass band" sound, including Steve and Satish on trumpets, Martin on saxophone, Mark on trombone, Steven & Tuba Joe on Sousaphone, Vince on drums, and a host of guests. From a power funky-brass quartet to a three-horn frontline, and with a host of original arrangements/compositions reflecting a large vision, Liftoff Brass band ranges freely across the New Orleans landscape without losing grip of the New York groove. Influences from Louis 'Satchmo' Armstrong to James Brown to Rebirth to Dirty Dozen Brass band, the music of Liftoff Brass inspired by the greats hailing from New Orleans.
