The Duke Ellington Orchestra, Wyclef Jean, Sharon Jones and Wu-Tang are just a few of the international artists who have featured the members of Breakdown Brass. Sizzling horns, deep pockets and hard-hitting sousaphone from NYC's finest...we're not your average Brass Band! We destroy Funk, Motown, Classic Hip-hop, Salsa, Afrobeat, Reggae, New Orleans Jazz and whatever else makes NYC dance floors bump. Our songs have been featured on Netflix, VICE and more - check out our videos! We have a long and diverse song list, plus we include one special request for every gig! As a brass band, we're extremely flexible in terms of size, instrumentation, sound setup, and music. We're equally at home as a quiet cocktail trio and as a bombastic party band, and pride ourselves on our ability to "read the room" and react to any situation. We work closely with all clients to determine the best option for each event. The members of Breakdown Brass tour/record with international artists such as Wyclef Jean, Wu Tang, The Duke Ellington Orchestra, Aretha Franklin, Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings, Father John Misty, Rag & Bone Man, Streetlight Manifesto, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Lee Fields and the Expressions, Antibalas, Slavic Soul Party, The Artie Shaw Orchestra and MANY more.
