PROFILE UPDATED FOR 2024! Kyle Mathis began his professional music career at the age of 7. As part of a family band, by age 13 he had opened for entertainers like Waylon Jennings and Conway Twitty, and played venues that he wasn’t old enough to get into otherwise. The band even enjoyed a 4-year residency at the Heart ofTexas Fair & Rodeo in Waco, Texas. Since the days of the family band, Kyle has played with recording artists such as Gary Morris, Gene Watson, Gary P. Nunn, Janie Fricke, Doug Stone, Tommy Alverson, The Tejas Brothers, Dery lDodd, Max Stalling, Zane Williams, Branded, Sons of the Desert, TC Taylor and Nia Peeples. And, he has opened for numerous artists such as Willie Nelson, George Jones, Blake Shelton, Joe Nichols, Pure Prairie League and others. To say that Kyle knows how to entertain is an understatement. Using professional state of the art sound and harmonizing equipment, you’ll feel like you’re listening to more than a single acoustic act. With a catalog of over 1,700 songs from multiple genres (Country, Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Pop and Standards) and multiple eras (50's to current), Kyle is always learning new material which ensures he’s popular and relevant with crowds of all ages.
