the Lonesome Fiddle Ramblers Bluegrass Band from Hagerstown, MD

We are a string quartet (Fiddle, Base, Banjo, guitar), performing “Authentic Appalachian String Music" with traditional bluegrass. Sadly, we lost our lead fiddle player of many years, but we now have another gentelman who brings our performances up a bit! We have performed square dances, "interperative" music gigs for the National Park Service. as well as full show "Bluegrass Concerts". We have done several shows for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (State Parks), and of course many private parties, corporate functions, and an occasional tavern. If you hire us you will experience tunes such as “Turkey in the straw”, “Old Joe Clark”, Soldier's Joy”; banjo tunes such as “Foggy Mountain Breakdown”, and banjo tunes channeling Scruggs, Reno, Eddie Adcock, etc.). The guitarist features bluegrass vocals such as “Rolling in my Sweet Baby's Arms”, “Rocky Top”, and a few classic country Tunes. Our fiddle player provides some exceptional fiddle tunes, and very nice "breaks", along with the banjo, between vocal verses. We interact with the audience and try to explain a bit about the music, joke around some, and honor requests, if we are able. We sometimes perform as a duet or trio.
