Sam Phipps and Bluegrass Sounds brings to your event a band with members from Northeast Tennessee, Northwest North Carolina and Southwest Virginia. Singing traditional and progressive bluegrass, gospel and bluegrass country, we try to offer a professional level of sound for a variety of events, weddings, festivals, reunions, birthday parties, etc. Formed in 2023 with brothers Sam and Noah Phipps, Clark and Nancy Mixon and Randy Singleton, the band brings experience spanning decades of playing bluegrass and gospel music. We have been influenced by both traditional and bluegrass/gospel performers throughout the years that we have performed our music. Melding the high energy drive of brothers Sam and Noah with the years of experience brought to the band by Nancy, Clark and Randy, we strive to provide a musical experience that will be remembered and enjoyed as a pleasurable addition to your event. Thank you for your review. We did have to make a substitution at the last minute, but with band members able to play several different instruments, we thought this would be ok as most songs were gospel. The band had a great time and much appreciated the tips. The location was a great place to play with great sound.Awards & Badges
