Inspired by a former lead dancer of the famous Uzbek National dance troupe "Bahor," she immersed herself in studying folk dance through private instruction. It was then she fell in love with the feminine nature, richness and fluid intensity of Oriental Dance. Over the years this love evolved into a true passion for this art form. Since moving to the United States, Nyla has continued to perfect her craft through continuous training and frequent master classes with some of the best, internationally recognized instructors. She has had countless opportunities to showcase her talent performing Oriental Dance (Belly dance) as well as traditional Uzbek, Persian and Gypsy dance for international audiences and has performed in restaurants, night clubs, festivals, as well as concert halls for a variety of special events and show productions in the Philadelphia tri-state area. Her talent and acclaimed professionalism have brought her to perform on numerous stages and prestigious establishments around the country, as well as internationally. The subject and muse of many artists, Nyla is one of the few chosen featured dancers and the only Belly Dancer gracing the World's largest Mural installation (50,000+ sq.ft) at the Philadelphia International Airport as part of the "How Philly Moves" photography art project.
