THE BEST PIPING FOR YOUR ONCE-IN-A LIFETIME EVENT, with my personal guarantee of your complete satisfaction! A truly professional musician-bagpiper with over 4 decades of experience as a serious solo and pipe band competitor on the Great Highland Bagpipe, with more than 300 trophies and medals -- including 43 "piper of the day" championships -- on my record in competitions sanctioned by the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association (EUSPBA) and the Pipers and Pipe Band Society of Ontario, Canada (PPBSO). A certified, successful grade 1 solo competitor, and former member of more than a dozen competition-level pipe bands in grades 3 and 2. A highly sought-after bagpiping instructor for individuals and bands, currently instructing the Camden County (NJ) Emerald Society Pipes & Drums as well as the Philadelphia Police and Firefighters Pipes & Drums. Also an accomplished public performer, having played multiple times at all of the major Philadelphia-area music and civic venues (Kimmel Center, Academy of Music, Merriam Theater, Union League, Phila Convention Center, Phila City Hall, etc.), a host of pubs and restaurants, as well as the entire 2013 run of performances of the Philadelphia world premier of the Pulitzer Prize-winning opera "Silent Night" (based on a true World War 1 story) with the Opera Company of Philadelphia. I am proud to play this great instrument, and look forward to making your special event truly memorable, whether it is a funeral or memorial service for a loved one, a wedding, birthday party, a corporate event or promotional activity, or some other remembrance or celebration. I always take special care in how I present myself, tailoring my appearance, uniform, and repertoire to the circumstances and style of your event. I am extremely well versed in Irish, Scottish, and other Celtic musical selections, and love to work directly with clients to tailor my performance to their particular needs and interests. One of my heartfelt goals as a highly experienced, well-trained, and certifiably accomplished bagpiper is to educate folks about how truly amazing the bagpipe can sound. This is my essential mission. Sadly, even many people with professional training on other instruments often have only a vague idea of how a bagpipe really should sound and how it should be played. This is why I'm always ready to provide advice and help to bagpipe students and even other experienced pipers who may not have had the benefit of top-notch teachers and consistent training. The bagpipe is surely one of the noblest of all musical instruments, and whenever I play it, I am keenly aware of the great social and cultural Celtic heritage that it represents. I will continue to do my part to represent the instrument appropriately, with dignity and honor, as well as, of course, some good fun!
