Katie Jacobs Auctioneer from Las Vegas, NV

Katie began fundraising auctioneering on behalf of Christie's Auction House in New York in 2010, providing consultation and live auctioneering services to increase funds and donations for hundreds of events. She has worked with both local and international non-profits and organizations from schools and medical research to disaster relief and feeding the hungry, ranging from small, intimate events to formal galas for national non-profits. Organizations include The Humane Society of the United States, Jewish Community Centers of America, and the Steve Irwin Wildlife Warriors Foundation. Katie approaches each event as a partnership, familiarizing herself with the history and mission of the organization to genuinely represent herself as a supporter when on stage. Available to travel to any destination, Katie offers consultation services as early in the event planning as possible, such as room layout, run-of-show, and of course lot curation to ensure maximizing fundraising efforts and a successful event. Katie engages the entire audience through humor and emotional call of support to provide all guests with an entertaining experience and the feeling of inclusion. Whether a live auction of 1 or 20 items or only a Donation Call, Katie's experience and expertise will bring your event more interest, support and revenue. Katie hails from Tucson, Arizona and is a Wildcat at heart! Her outgoing spirit has led her around the world, from San Diego, to Rome, to London, and New York. As a student, Katie studied Art History, obtaining her Master's Degree from Christie's Education in London. During her studies, Katie became interested in fine wine and spirits and worked in restaurants, shops and enrolled in the Wine Spirit Education Trust to pursue her passion for it. Her love of both art and wine convened when she began working in the Wine Department at Christie's Auction House in New York, and her career path began. In addition to her love of wine and art, Katie is a certified Champagne Sabreur and will take any opportunity to pop a cork, loves karaoke, and enjoys traveling to wine regions and new destinations when she can find the time.
