New Dixie Pharaohs Americana Band from Charlotte, NC

The New Dixie Pharaohs have been performing in and around Charlotte, NC for 30 plus years. A unique blend of traditional and progressive Bluegrass, Old School Country, Roots and Classic Rock has created an ever growing fan base. Originally the brainchild of Bassist Larry Perrel and Guitarman Don Smart, The Pharaohs musical journey began in 1990 as the entertainment act for a corporate sponsored United Way fundraiser. The band has since grown into one of the finest acts in the area. Other current members include Tony Huneycutt on Vocals & Keyboard, NC Music Hall of Fame inductee, Erik Swenson on Banjo and Larry's son, Nate Perrell on Guitar and Percussion. On occasion you may see special guests such as Randy DeBruhl on Banjo, David Woodie on Bass and Fiddle, and 5 time Galax Fiddle Champion Glenn Alexander! The talented musicians that we have had the pleasure of working with is too long to list and continues to grow as does the notoriety of the band!
