Musical Heart Strings Pop Duo from Martinez, CA

Musical Heart Strings is a professional string ensemble (or string ensemble with piano) founded by Kerry Borgen and Gretchen Egen, who have been performing together for over twenty-five years. Possible ensemble configurations include string duo, trio, and quartet with the larger ensembles featuring a fuller, richer sound. We also have the unique ability to add piano/keyboard to any of these combinations. Our supreme ensemble is our string quartet, consisting of two violins, viola and cello. This offers the fullest sound that is classy and elegant with a touch of adventure to keep you wanting more. We can play acoustically or with amplification. We offer an extensive repertoire. Our list includes classical, jazz, contemporary pop, rock and roll and even some heavy metal. Influenced by the Vitamin String Quartet, we arrange most of the music ourselves, making them exclusive covers performed only by Musical Heart Strings. The sound is similar to the music you hear in Bridgerton. We can add foot percussion while we play our instruments to make our ensemble sound more like a 'band', especially perfect for receptions and parties. We are available for hire for any gathering: weddings, parties, memorials, funerals, corporate events, or even for serenading a romantic dinner for two or wedding proposal.
