My name is Jason Perl I am acoustic guitarist singer-songwriter with 25 years writing in the styles of 50’s rock, 60’s doo wop, country and blues. It’s an energetic and rhythmic performance that gets people from all ages tapping their foot. A familiar sound that everyone grew up with. Inspired by rockabilly, rock and roll and country music from Elvis to the Stray Cats. My songs are stories to make you reminisce in memories of having fun, love lost and of course causing a little trouble too. It’s a ride that keeps you holding on. Live shows gives you a chance to escape from your daily life with catchy lyrics and guitar sounds that paint memories. Kat Wilson shares the stage with me most times to add some layers to the choruses and give a vibe like that of Johnny and June Cash, Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris or Bob Dylan and Joan Baez. Just an acoustic guitar and a microphone. My personal and bare bones set up can be put anywhere from a small stage inside a coffee shop or bar to a concert stage in front of thousands.
