Comfortable performing a wide range styles from Celtic to Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar, Bluegrass to Jazz, and Traditional Music to the Beatles. His biggest influences in the acoustic world are John Hartford, James Taylor, Townes Van Zandt, George Harrison (The Beatles), Tom Petty, Tony Rice, Norman Blake and Alex De Grassi. Performing with great sensitivity for the occasion and atmosphere, James Scott brings his relaxed sophistication to every Event he plays. James Scott did a great job at my wedding. We just needed some music and don't know enough guitar music to have a preference. He played music that perfectly set the tone for our ceremony and I couldn't have been happier.

We could not be any happier with our choice to have James play for our small, outdoor wedding ceremony. He was great with communication the whole way through, gave us an extremely reasonable rate, and even was willing to learn songs that we wanted played. However, we didn't need him to learn any songs, because once we heard his personal music, we knew we wanted him to play all of his own stuff (even when I was walking down the aisle). James was early to the event and stayed as long as we needed him to. He was professional, friendly, and extremely talented. We got SO many compliments on our ceremony music afterwards. Thanks so much James!!
