Caribbean Vibes Steelband Steel Drum Band from Pittsburgh, PA

The band originated as a family band, as the demand for Caribbean Culture became obvious and needed. The owner and lead player was a Volunteer DJ on a radio station and played Caribbean and World Beat music. She was born in the Caribbean and started the band with her two daughters and her two sons. She was a Math teacher also and recruited her student to join the band. A few friends also came on board and the band expanded to include them. Caribbean Vibes Steelband is popular with people of all ages. Calypso, Reggae, American and Spanish music are played. As the band entertains in many venues and settings, interactive audience participation occurs with the limbo, dancing and an upbeat and vibrant sound that will keep one moving.
