YouTube Channel: Watson Celtic. Performs with award-winning snare drummer Alison Hill Watson. Winner of solo EUSPBA competitions, 1983-1989; piper for University of Pennsylvania events, 1984-present. Chairman of Honorary Pipers for St Andrew's Society of Philadelphia, present. Piper for St Andrew's Society of Philadelphia's 275th anniversary trip to Scotland, playing at Edinburgh Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Glencoe, Arbroath Abbey and at St Andrews University. Official "Honored Guest" of Black Watch, took salute on behalf of City of Philadelphia at Spectrum, 2000. More than 40 years playing in the Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Parade and served in the Parade Ring of Honor in 2012. Performed multiple times on stage at the Kimmel Center, the Academy of Music, and the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia; Variety of Scottish and Irish uniforms; performed for First Ladies Barbara Bush and Hillary Clinton; former President Jimmy Carter; musicians Bono, Jon Bon Jovi and Quincy Jones; Academy Award winners Charlton Heston and Jody Foster; and Nobel Laureates Seamus Heaney and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Holder of PhD in History, University of Pennsylvania, 1990, research and piping featured in 2006 RTE/Smithsonian Institution documentary "The Ghosts of Duffy's Cut," and 2013 PBS/RTE documentary "Death on the Railroad." 2014 Delaware Valley Irish Hall of Fame inductee. Piper for the Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse team, 2018-2019 season at the Wells Fargo Center; performed at Longwood Gardens and at Winterthur Gardens for weddings and the Bonnie Prince Charlie exhibit sponsored by Drambuie. For ten years the personal piper of Robert Montgomery Scott of Ardrossan. Personal piper for Jack Downey of Downey's Restaurant in Philly. Piper for funeral of Joey Coyle.
